Hi,
I was just hoping that someone here on CC will be able to help me out!! I need a cake idea for my Dad's 50th birthday. My Grandmother has asked me to make his cake but I have no idea what to make for a man's cake!!! Any ideas?!?! What have you made for the fellow's in your life?
Thanks in advance for your help!!
Here are a couple cakes I've made for men. The first was for a pastor, so maybe you could make something like this without the Bible on top. The chocolate cake has swags on the sides. It's simple and fun. I've made similar designs a couple of times.
Another idea is to use a hobby of his as a theme. Does he have a favorite sports team or does he collect anything?
You could even just make a big 50 shaped cake.
Good luck!
It is just hard to think of something for him - he likes to golf though!! You know guys - they won't appreciate a "pretty" cake as much as the ladies will!!
I think the cakes with the piroulines around the outside look nice, I did one not to long ago and added a raffia bow.
Do you have the sports ball pan? Make him the big golf ball....I did a golf cake it is in my photos. I was watching the sugar rush on the food network and he was showcasing grooms cake and he did had this cool one on with tools made out to chocolate. I think that would be an awesome mans cake!!
I'd go with golf too. There are a lot of ideas out there! Check out the gallery and also check out Google Images.
