Thanks to everyone who gave me advice for the NASCAR cake! Next time around I'll make it look even better, but just wonder what you all think this cake is worth? I made this from a 12"X18" sheetcake. It took me all day yesterday, and a couple hours last week when I was shaping the frozen cake. The windows are made from MMF and the 3's are actually color flow, but the one on top cracked in several places, so tried to fix it, but the colors started to bleed. Ended up just piping over it.

So what would you have charged?

Thanks! That will help me down the road. I was thinking $75, but wanted to compare with other decorators.

Hope everyone's having a great day! thumbs_up.gif

Great job!

I know that a cake decorator in our area starts her sculpted cake pricing at $3 per serving.

But I think you are safe with $75 or even $10-15 more.

Wow! That turned out beautifully!!! You did a fantastic job! How big was the final cake? I did a truck from a 12X18 however with the carving and stacking it came out smaller.....

I am really impressed with your cake though, I just can't say enough! thumbs_up.gificon_biggrin.gif

Thanks! To give you an idea of it's size the board it's on it's the one made for the 11"x15" and it fills this board fairly nicely lengthwise. There was very little of the 12"x18" cake that I ended up not using. Just a couple small ziplock bags of shavings... my friend asked that I package up and deliver with the cake.

I appreciate everyone's comments! icon_biggrin.gif
