I made the spagetti cake this week for a co-workers birthday. Everyone loved it but i would like to try another recipe for the 'meatballs' if anyone has any suggestions.
Thanks
Faye
I don't know what you used, but once I had red velvet cake left over. I mixed it with a little buttercream and was amaazed at how much it looked like meatballs.
I have made two spaghetti cakes and have made the meatballs 2 differant ways. For one, I just used cake scraps rolled into balls with a little bit of buttercream mixed in. On another, I bought those hazelnut candy balls (Rocher or something like that). They both worked well.
You may be able to use those No Bake cookies that we all ate as a kid....the ones with oatmeal and cocoa that you cook all together. After they have cooled some and started to set up, you could probably roll them into balls. They would look like meat, and taste really good!

I'm pretty sure this is it, I haven't made these in a while! I've never had them with the nuts added.
The "meatballs" I've made were a mix of chocolate chips, cream cheese, walnuts and powdered sugar (I think that was everything). If you want the recipe let me know and I will post it when I get home.
Thanks SS385Monte, but I think that is the recipe I am already using. I guess it's good if you like chocolate.....Everyone at work said it was great.I wanted something alittle different.

That's what I used for the meatballs in my spaghetti cake (see my photos). They turned out really good. I think they looked a lot like meatballs.
I used ferrero rocher (sp?) chocolates.
That's what I used too.
