my teenage son has just informed me that for his birthday he wants a cake based on the TV show Mythbusters. Now I've seen enough of this programme to know what's it's all about, but where am I going to start?! He wants models of presenters Adam & Jamie and I'll incorporate the logo somehow, but I really have no idea about the rest of the cake - any ideas? Oh, and if I use candy clay to model with, how long in advance can I make them (cos I'm thinking it's gonna take me some time lol!)?
How about making a model of the dummy they use and have it being catapulted into something? Find out which episode was your son's favorite and maybe you can doing something from that show. Get your son involved in the modeling. That was what I did when my son wanted a wave cake with a surfer dude on it.
oh yea......make the dummy out of jello....what's his name again?
can't wait to see the pictures!
He actually goes to an art-based school and likes to model! Buster in there somewhere is a good idea. I asked him what his favourite myth was, and there is no way I'm putting his reply on a cake
Teenagers are the best!!!!! Hahahaha!
Yea.....you should have buster dangling or being crushed or something crazy!

LOL!! Must've been the stinky car myth?! DH and I LOVE that show! Is there a myth that you could make up about cake/sugar? Like testing the myth that sugary food gives you a rush of energy, and then make his friends do an army style obstacle course right after eating. Ha Ha, give him a taste of myth busting! ('scuse the pun there! )
The only show I remember is the "Peeing on the railroad track theory" I can only imagine that cake!!!
Thank you for the laugh!!!!!

Buster! I love this show
they did a "how many balloons does it take to lift a man" thing too.. draw it like their "drawing board" Blue with white writing... draw a stick man floating away with a ton of baloons.. or something like that... then maybe you can have a figure (3D) attached to balloons
