Need help for a groom's cake, still very new at this. The groom was a football player in college. So the cake needs to look like a football field. Have the little player from his college to put on the cake. Would it be okay to used the grass tip on the field or just plain green icing with the lines and goal post. I am working hard to product a GREAT cake to get my name out there. So if anyone has a idea to knock-their-socks-off. I am all ears. Thanks icon_biggrin.gif

Most college football fields I've been on aren't grass anymore but rather a smooth, spongy stuff. icon_smile.gif A lot of times, they have the college logo painted on the 50 yard line. Here's a website where you can get logos for many, many teams:

You could do something like that out of color flow or FBCT.

The turf at the major U. where we have season tickets has the most realistic look to it you can imagine. Truly...it looks real! It's a fairly dark green.....and has blades!!!!! I'd use the tip! LOL! "Ain't technology great?!"

CakesByEllen has a football cake posted under sports. Do a search for "football" in the gallery. It is a field shot with a football player on it.
