Bought A 12' Square Pan. Do I Need A New Leveler?
Decorating By Susecita Updated 13 Mar 2006 , 12:51am by peg818
I only have the Wilton small one and after reading reviews I have decided to save for the agbay. Will the small leveler work on the 12 square pan? I am thinking of using it on the edges and then winging the center. Thoughts? Suggestions? Ideas?
Thanks!
Sus
I turned the cake to get the edges as far down to the middle as possible and then I pulled the leveler throughthe middle of the cake... came out perfect.
Yah. This is a one time cake. I think i will do that until I actually have a reason to purchase either the Agaby or the Wilton. Maybe I can make my own ;op. Thanks!

What is an Agaby and what website can I find this. Sounds interesting.
I just use an bread knife if works fine on small cakes but if there is something out there that can level a large cake that'll be great.

The small Wilton level (with the wire) will cut up to a 10in cake. There is a coupon for Michaels in todays paper, so you could always use that to get the larger saw like one to use until you have the money for the other one.
before buying the agbay, i used the small leveler all the time. What i used to do, with a cake that size i would start at the corner and come in at a diagnal, then turn and do the same with each corner, then taking a piece of dental floss wrap it aroun through the sections that i already cut and put it on through. It takes longer then a big leveler that you can just run right through but it does work.
