I was wondering if anyone could help me? I have seen some beautiful cakes with painted fondant, but everytime i try to paint on it (with food coloring) it dosent "stick". Its hard to explain but its almost like as if you were painting water onto an oily surface. I end up having to go over the same spot a few times just to get full coverge and that dosent really give a smooth line. What am I doing wrong? Help anyone?!?! LOL

From what I've seen on this forum, most pple use the paste or gel colors to do their painting, or they use the powdered colors with alcohol, glycerine, etc. Have you tried that yet?

Hope this helps you, and good luck icon_biggrin.gif

here is a recent post on this same topic and peoples responses to how they did it. If you do a search of the forums with your key words "painting MMF" there are a few other recent topics about this and some other suggestions.
