It looks like no one can help. It seems there are answers for every thing but this one. Never mind. Thanks

can you post a link of the cakes you are talking about? That might help find an answer to your question. I my self have never hear of Konditor and Cook.

I guess this must be the site from the UK???

Beautiful! I've never seen anything like it. Sorry, I don't know how to make the cone shape (unless you just carve the cake after you put the layers together??? I've never made any tiered cakes at all. icon_sad.gif ). Just bumping up for you!

BTW, welcome to CC!!! icon_smile.gif

Have you googled it? I had a funny thought about how to partitaly make one.Take a colander stand to set the cake in. Maybe somehow use the colander I just havent come up with the part about how to make the inside smooth. I know alot of people bake things in cans for the right shape. icon_rolleyes.gif Hmmm . Maybe someone else has some ideas. icon_smile.gif

Wow! those are neat. I have never seen anything like them either.

I have not seen any pans that would even resemble that shape either. I would make it with 1" different layers stacked then trimmed, sounds like a lot of wasted cake, but then there are cake balls!!

Thanks for bringing these up, they look great!

Maybe someone who lives in europe will be able to answer this question better, maybe they are specialty pans that are over there.

i just got to thinking and the very top cake on this could be a wondermold pan of some sorts. I just saw the magic line one on ebay and it has a bit more of a point than the wilton one does. Beyond that, I am not sure.

Hiya

Just looked at the site to me it looks like they are stacked and carved...probably about 4 or 5 cakes stacked and trimmed to shape then covered in fondant ..then decorated.....

I would say it is sculpted. They look fabulous! The first thing I thought of when I saw them, (being the halloween nut that I am) was a witches Hat! So I guess I'll be experimenting in October!

I've never heard of a cone cake either. Id' guess the same. It was stacked and trimmed. Looks like a ton of work.

Yes I agree with everyone that it looks like a graduated stacked cake carved and they used marzipan and royal icing on it so it would stay together.
