Here in Canada most of or butter comes in a 1 pound block..454 grams. They only sell a few expensive brands in sticks. My question is this.....I need 2 sticks of butter for my cookies so how much do I need to cut off of the who brick??They have a guide on the package and 1 cup is half of the block.

Hi there!

1 pound of butter equals 4 sticks. So you will need 1/2 of your block to equal 2 sticks!
