Is it possible to do the bag stripping technique with luster dust? I'd like to make cupcakes that have royal blue icing with a stripe of white (using the spatula to stripe with icing) and a stripe of gold (using the brush to paint it on the bag). What do you all think?

you might be able to mix the gold color with piping gel or karo syrup?
