hi all,
i was scheduled to take a sugarpaste flower class starting next week and i got a call today saying it had been cancelled and will not be rescheduled until may
i saw the gumpaste flower kit that wilton sells so my question is do you all think this would be a good way to start learning on my own or should i hold off and wait until may?
thank you!!
I bought it and tried it I liked it and thought it was helpful to me since i could take a class.... Now since that time I havent tried using it much because it does take a long time to make gumpaste flowers and Im impatient.
long story short I say go ahead .....practice make perfect and when you sign up for the class youll have a leg up so to speak
thanks lastingmoments! now i have an excuse to use the 40% coupon at our local michael's
Is that the one that comes as a book and the cutters in a kit... its also available on cake central? If so its pretty good.
Here in Australia we can only buy the book and not as a kit with the cutters which is a real shame, because its a great start to all the basics and can be so versatile once you are creative.
riagrl, definitely pick it up! You'll be one step ahead of the class. Especially if you get the feel of how thick the gumpaste should be etc.
