hi all,
i was scheduled to take a sugarpaste flower class starting next week and i got a call today saying it had been cancelled and will not be rescheduled until may icon_cry.gificon_cry.gificon_cry.gif
i saw the gumpaste flower kit that wilton sells so my question is do you all think this would be a good way to start learning on my own or should i hold off and wait until may?
thank you!!

I bought it and tried it I liked it and thought it was helpful to me since i could take a class.... Now since that time I havent tried using it much because it does take a long time to make gumpaste flowers and Im impatient.

long story short I say go ahead .....practice make perfect and when you sign up for the class youll have a leg up so to speak

Is that the one that comes as a book and the cutters in a kit... its also available on cake central? If so its pretty good.

Here in Australia we can only buy the book and not as a kit with the cutters which is a real shame, because its a great start to all the basics and can be so versatile once you are creative.

riagrl, definitely pick it up! You'll be one step ahead of the class. icon_smile.gif Especially if you get the feel of how thick the gumpaste should be etc.
