I'm planning on using Frosting Pride as a filling for a wedding cake that will be covered in Fondant. Knowing that I cannot refrigerate a fondant cake, I'm kind of worried about how the Frosting Pride as a filling will hold up. I see that it can be out for 5 days at room temperature, but will it lose its consistency from being at room temperature for about a day and a half?

I don't know anything about Frosting Pride but I noticed you mentioned you were using it because you can't refrigerate fondant. Have you ever tried FondX Fondant from Caljava? I just bought 3 buckets of this stuff when it was on sale because it is so wonderful. It tastes awesome and is great to work with and it can be refrigerated. I made a baby shower cake this last weekend that had cream cheese icing under the fondant so I had to keep it in the fridge and this fondant was amazing. There was absolutely no sweating or anything, and it was in overnight! Love the stuff.
Just thought I'd let you know about it in case you'd like to try it!

Thanks Heather. I had found FondX, but I need black fondant and Caljava doesn't sell the black fondant. Do you know of a way to make black fondant without starting off with a chocolate based fondant? I heard that if you use too much of the gel paste to color fondant it becomes bitter.
