I was wondering how much you all would charge for a full sheet cake for a wedding? They are having one small pretty wedding cake and then some sheet cakes to serve from the kitchen. How basic is the design on these type of sheet cakes?
is (2) 12x18 = 1 full sheet cake???
Obviously my first wedding order
Thanks so much!
If the sheets are in the kitchen for serving, just a matching border is sufficient decoration. 12x8 is generally considered a quarter sheet. how many you need depends on the number of guests, and the brides preferences.
Generally, the charge is per serving, but less than the cake costs. If your wedding cake is $2. a serving the sheet cakes miight be $1 per serving.
Yes, MommyEdzards, my full sheet is two 12x18s. If the cakes are being cut in the kitchen I simply frost and do a plain border, nothing fancy, and no decorations.
So glad I am not the only one with these questions. I asked this very question last week. This is the link to the post:

something that looks nice for the guests is instead of sheet cakes do a 2 layer sheet then the slices look just like the main cake servings I only do borders and really one of those takes the same of less time than 2 sheet cakes.
