My 3 year old spends way too much time with me doing cake stuff and looking at yearbooks.
I got the antique car and the little train off ebay and they arrived yesterday, he saw them, grabbed the car and said "I can turn this into Herbie." He's been watching one of the old Herbie movies that he borrowed from his grandma.
I of course was so proud of him .

see !!!!!... all that time you spend creating he is watching and learning. I'm sure when he grows up he'll treasure the memories of spending time in the kitchen with you. Both my kids love helping when I'm in the kitchen. My son more than my daughter ...... we have alot of fun together this way... enjoy!!!
AAAH How cute - He will always cherish those moments in the kitchen with you. ANd hey he might just grow up to be a famous baker and he can say he has been baking since he was 3...
I've got twin boys who are 10 1/2 now. They both watch Food Network all the time, but only one LOVES to be in the kitchen. He'll write up "menus" and will "plate" the food and stuff like that. He says if he can't be a professional motocross rider, he'll go to culinary school! HA!
