Hey everyone, My little sister and I made a cake for our big brother, big sister event this past week. She is VERY proud of it, she helped w/everything....design, flavors, icing, images. We researched everyone before we decided who to put on the cake!! She even helped cut, fill and ice the cake. She placed all the images on the cake. she is turning 15 next month...so she loves being able to help me do more things on cakes now and she did most of this!! She is actually pretty good!!! I may have help when I get my business started!!!!!

We had a few problems...but overall it turned out great and most importanly...we had FUN!!! I told her I was going to upload to this site and show it off....and she gets nervous....teenagers!! icon_rolleyes.gif

So please check it out!! She/we worked really hard on it!! It is in my gallery photos.

Thanks a bunch,
christine

I think you both should be very proud of this cake. I even like the gold color - very striking with the ribbon trim. When mixing colors for my cakes I have to constantly remind myself to stop when I begin to think I want it a little darker. The colors always deepen upon setting.

thanks everyone for the comments on the cake. kiera will be tickled 'pink' to see all the nice, encouraging comments!!!

And Tiramisu....I only have a few Americolor colors right now...I mostly use Wilton right now...so I forget...less is more w/Americolor!!! For Wilton I usually need to use a bit more than what I think when I'm trying to get the color I want!!!

I'm slowly building up my Americolor stash though!!! Love the ones I have!! thumbs_up.gif
