can you use edible images on chocolate icing???? Does it make the icing look white or does it change the picture and lettering to brown????

The color of the frosting underneath will show through the image. I've used them on chocolate before though. I'll frost the whole cake in chocolate and then apply a light coat of white BC on top of the cake or wherever the image will be placed. If the edible image is small, you can also frost the underside of the image with white BC and then place it on the cake. HTH icon_smile.gif

Hi Lisa, i have done printed images on several differnt colors. I wanted the icing sheet to match the color of the icing so i made the background of the design the same color or as close to it as i could get. It worked really well. Then I just cut the white part off, or cut around the design color and it matched great, I put a small border around it to hide the edges.

I've done something similar but it's important to always take into account that the color underneath the frosting sheet will be absorbed into the edible image and effect the colors. You can get some pretty neat effects if you plan for it thumbs_up.gif .
