If I make a structure with MMF...and then let it dry completely, till it's hard and then use it on a cake, and the cake goes in the fridge...will it affect the MMF???
I'm drying the structure for a week before it goes on the fridge and the MMF will be in the fridge overnight??

Some say it is okay to put fondant in the fridge, others do not. I think it depends on your fridge and how much moisture is in it. If you have a humid fridge your piece is likely to get soft or sticky.

I put a cake covered with mmf in the fridge with mmf roses on it that had dried for a week and they were just fine. the roses remained hard.

i agree with texassugar it really depends on the humidity of your fridge. Ive personally have never had a problem doing that. but you may want to try it before you ruin someting that you cant fix. make a flower or something and check your fridge

maybe you could try gumpaste for the towers......I made a flower pot cake full of gumpaste flowers and I stuck it in the fridge over night and none of the flowers got even a tiny bit soft or anything....they were just fine!! Maybe if the fondant won't work you could try that?

eek........maybe you should wait to put the towers on.......most cakes are ok for a while at room temp. anyhnow....leave the towers off til you give it to the customer, then tell them not to refrig.

She needs it for Sunday...and asked me to deliver it Saturday...I think i'll tell her that I can deliver it right to the venue on Sunday, no charge, and i'll scare her that she might ruin it while driving...this way, i do that whole thing my way, and i take care of towers, transportation...the works...
