I am just beginning to make cakes for people other than my my husband, son and me. It's only for two of my sister's kids but hey that's a start. I love baking cakes and "trying" to decorate them but I still have doubts. This site is so wonderful. The way everybody interacts is amazing. It's like always having someone to answer your questions, and being a newbie, believe me that helps!

It takes practice, practice, and more practice. You will find out if you love it for yourself and family or you may want to do more for other family members/friends by giving it a try. I love doing it because it relaxes me, putting together a cake, coming up with a design. I love making flowers. Everyone is differant, so give it a try to find out where you want to be with it. You have nothing to lose just something to gain.
