Any suggestions for fillings on a cake made a day ahead that I don't plan on refridgerating? I am making a 3 tiered cake (pray for me!!) chocolate layer, marble layer, and white layer.

I would love any ideas that anyone might have!! I wish I could do fresh fruit fillings, but I have to make it a day ahead. I don't want to just use the frosting, but if I have to, it will be my last resort.

Thanks everyone!!
Angie

My first thought would be a chocolate ganache, there are a tonne of recipes for them, either through the recipe section on here, google, or http://www.ladycakes.com/Recipes/Fillings/fillings.htm

Ganache doesn't need refridgeration, and tastes great, and would good great with the layers you're having.

I agree or you can use fruit preserves. I like preserves rather than jelly's or jams. You can also make mousses with pastry pride if you have that.
