I know the white Satin Ice taste good, but I've never tried the chocolate one. It's so pricey and that's the only reason I haven't bought any of it. I just use the MMF instead.

Hi,
I recently used chocolate Satin Ice to make a chocolate bow. I really liked the taste it reminds you of a Tootsie Roll. Hope this helps.

I tried it just this weekend. Yes, it tastes like tootsie rolls.

I haven't tasted it, but a local bakery recommended the chocolate Pettinice. I guess it's worth a try.

Delicious stuff--very chocolate-y and very dark (all but black). If you want to tone down the chocolate color or flavor, mixing it with various amounts of white Satin Ice can yield anything from light tan to milk chocolate and the taste is wonderful.

Yes ~ it's yummy and easy to work with! If you look in my gallery you can see a few cakes i've used it on.
