Ok, I tried to make the mmf recipe that is on the site (which by the way tastes great with the vanilla candy melts), and it says 2 lbs of powdered sugar. well, I mixed and I mixed and I didn't use all of the powdered sugar. Is this ok?I rolled it out with no problems, it does seem a little dry but it is still very pliable and doesn't seem to crack or anything when I bend it. I have the mmf seperated and rolled into 2 sheets which I will be putting on my cake in a little while (still have to make the buttercream icing to put on the cakes). This is a trial run on the bridal shower cake I'm doing sunday like a mini-wedding cake, and i've never done fondant of any kind before (I know, great time to start trying huh..lol). Anyway, will this mmf be ok, or should I just try to go another route altogether because I'll never get it...HELP. Thanks in advance guys.
Ari

When I did a practice MMF cake a few months ago, I couldn't get all of the sugar mixed in either.
I just left the extra in the bottom of the bowl. the mmf turned out great. I think you should be fine.

If it tastes good and feels the right consistency, then ya probly got it!!! Good luck and post pics when yer done!!!

It will be OK. I find that alot of people don't put all of the PS in, maybe about 1 - 3/4# or so. If it seems a little dry, use a little Crisco, either on your hands, the table, the rolling pin, etc. That will keep it from drying out.

It seemed dry when i took it out of the bowl, but after i rolled it, it felt soft to the touch so i'm hopefu, l that that's the way it's supposed to be. Is it? Or should I go ahead and rub a little crisco on it?

Sounds fine. But if you feel like it's still dry, rub your hands with Crisco and then knead it again.

Yep - depends on the weather - i was only able to use the whole 2# once. Normally i only use about 1 1/2.
