Hi
A friend asked me to make her dd's birthday cake next month. The little girls name is Jasmine so she wants a cake with Jasmine on it.(I did a harry potter cake for her brother). I have the wonder mold and was thinking of getting a jasmine doll and using the mold for the first time. Just wondering how I would do the harem pants so they would look okay or should I stick to a frozen buttercream transfer???

Hi Sandra,
I would draw the design of the harem pants in the cake with a toothpick first. That way you can see how it will look with the doll in the cake and you won't mess up the icing if you need to change it. I've done it with the mermaid cakes and it works well.
Another idea you might consider is to shape a rectangular cake to look like a big flying carpet, using fondant on the ends to curve up. You can decorate it to look like a beautiful tapestry and then just put the doll on top of it.
Good luck and show your pictures when you're done! Laura

Great idea for the doll on the magic carpet. Not sure if I'm talented enough to actually do the carpet part. I'm leaning towards the fbct right now.
