I've seen gum glue used when assembling gumpaste/fondant flowers and such. Can anyone tell me what exactly it is, and if it's something I can make or if it can only be bought (where do I buy it?)

Thanks!

I make Gum glue with Rose Water and Tylose powder. Once it sits for a day and the Tylose completely dissolves, I shake the bottle then pour some into a well cleaned nail polish bottle. Then when you make gum paste items (flowers, bows, etc.), you lightly paint the glue onto the items and hold them together. Within seconds the glue bonds to the gum paste and your items is prevented from separating.

If you use water, it will stick, but will not hold up well.

I just made hundreds of flowers (calla lilies, tulips, roses, stephanotis, ivy) and bows and streamers for a bridal show. Plus, using the Rose Water the glue makes the ROSES smell good...
