My best friend called me yesterday and asked me to make a cake for her mother's birthday Saturday. She basically said I could do what I want!
I am still trying to figure out what to do, I told her I wanted to do a tiered cake, so I am going to try and do a 6" and 9", how many dowels do I need for support?

All she said was that she like pink, purple and yellow
Was thinking, buttercream with fondant accents...

Any tips for a tiered/stacked cake?

just a quick tip for neater serving...
put a layer of powdered sugar or coconut between the tiers so that your buttercream doesn't come off if you remove the top layer for slicing.
My Wilton instructor told us this in course III.
Happy decorating!
