Has anyone ever used a product called Permalce to create a display? I know I saw something about it here, somewhere in one of the forum sections, but now can't find it (even with a search). Just wondering about the quality and ease of use before shelling out the cash for a gallon of the stuff!

I found it on Kitchen krafts.com. I guess it's a medium similar to buttercream, but dries hard in about 2 hours. I've used Fondant and royal icing (I like fondant better) to make displays in the past. Permalce is supposed to be washable too, which is a great advantage when you have a display or faux cake sitting around collecting dust.

I've never tried it, but here's a link where you can order it... you can buy colours for it too that are not supposed to fade...
