DH wanted to go fishing today so we went to a new spot to try. Well on the way home I talked DH into stopping into the old bookstore that has been around since the 30's they sell a lot of used books and new ones also. Well as I was looking around in the cooking section and found 2 for the wiltons encyclopias (sp) they were marked $5 each so I bought both of them. I could not believe my luck. I know I have seen them on ebay but was never able to win the bid now all I need is thelast one. At lease the day was not a total lost since we did not catch any fish.

boy, you did find a good deal, those are great books to look through and refer too.

So your one of the ones I've been bidding against for those books on Ebay. Congrats on finding them and at such a fantastic price. I'm envious. At least now I might have a chance to win them on Ebay.

Wow! I think I payed almost $30 (each) for mine!!!!

after I paid for the books I told the manager that I have been trying to get these books off of ebay and told him what they were going for. He said he did not relize that there was such a demand for them. As for Jo-ann I'll try to watch if I see you name I wont bid against you (maybe) lol

I won a set of all 3 of them a few weeks ago. I have an extra of the first one if anyone is interested.

and if I see your name on an item on ebay I promise to try & control my urge to bid. . Volume one is the only one I've been able to win so far. But I did get Colette Peters as well as Toba Garretts' & Kaye & Liv Hansens' books. So didn't do too bad[/u]
