I said under another thread that I often feel at a loss for ideas for cakes. This is something I came up with on my own, but still borrowed a few ideas from other shower cakes I've found here and elsewhere.
Loved the idea of making a fondant baby... this is my first. : )

This was just a practice cake. I had some frosting and fondant that were getting to the point I needed to toss them, so thought I'd play a little.

That is a beautiful cake! You did a fabulous job on the baby ~ along with the rest of the cake!

Until it was mentioned here, I didn't even think about the baby floating in the sky... I should have placed her on a cloud, but that would've required fondant to be sitting in a pile of buttercream. I guess it's a little weird though, huh? Maybe I could've placed her on a blanket instead of under one!
