My client wants a cake (prolly 1/4 sheet) to represent the birthdays of her husband, Mother and 2 yr old daughter. Does anyone have any ideas? She doesn't want anyone to feel slighted that they were not represented on the cake...I am at a loss.

Thanks for your help!

I've done one with the birthstone color and the birth month's flower and wrote everybody's name down.

The adults just need to give it up to the kid!! How about just a cupcake for each of them? icon_lol.gif

Well, you could divide the top into three designs, something for the little one, something floral for her mother, something masculine for her hubby. You could make a chocolate transfer of a character the little one might like and put it in the centre, with something for the adults on either side. What about three ovals piped with something special for each in the centre?

Great idea! This is what I would do if I were in your shoes! I don't think anyone would feel slighted using this idea. It would be neat if you could have something "childish" on there for the 2 year old to be excited about though!

I like the birthstone and flower idea too! ; ) Very good way to incorporate everyone into one cake.

Last year I was asked to make a sheetcake 1/2 Shark Boy and Lava Girl and the other 1/2 to represent a particular political party. That wasn't easy and the cake isn't something I can put on my website. It stinks when people ask for cakes that can't possibly be appreciated by anyone else!

I think you can make this cake work though. We have some clever people on this board!

how about a (mini) tiered cake, one tier for each of them, but have the 2 year old on top because, well, kids love cake more!!

could you reduce the size slightly and do an adult cake, 1/2 for mother, 1/2 for hubby, then do a small "smash" type cake for the child. They would get about the same amount of servings. Why do people have such crazy requests?????

You all have wonderful suggestions thank you so much! I will take them to my client and let her select. Itsacake PM'd me with a cute idea of making the cake look like a calendar page and then circling each pearson's birthday. Just thought that would be a great idea for those that need it.
