Anyone have any ideas for a cake that looks like a quilt? Just recieved this request, but not sure how to begin. The cake will be a 1/2 sheet.

Thanks,

Mitt

How about a patch work quilt using different colors of fontant and making patterns of different sorts on each. I would think a crazy quilt style would be cute and not to much work like a log cabin style. Check out quilt patterns on the internet and you are bound to find a nice one.

Hi,

Try a search on "quilt" in the gallery, and there are several great examples of quilt patterns. Good luck!

I did a sheet cake for a babyshower using the quilt theme. I simply sectioned off a bunch of squares and piped different designs in each square. It was really cute. Of course, I used pastels and used star tip #16. Everyone loved it. Hope this helps!
