I have only found one place locally that has vanilla beans decently priced; 2 pods for $4-5. I would like to find a place I can order a bunch of them from and then I can vaccum seal them for storing. Any suggestions?

Try E-bay. You can get 12 for .99 plus $3 shipping. There are a ton on there right now that end soon too. I bet you might even be able to get the seller to combine shipping if you buy a lot.
