I am going to use the MMF recipe from this site for the first time today and have what is probably a very silly question. The directions say to let the mixture set over night, should it be covered, wrapped with saran wrap, uncovered, or in an air tight container? Not really sure so I thought I would ask so that I don't mess this up. Thanks! usaribbon.gif

I wrap mine in saran wrap - get all the air out! I spray my saran wrap with pam too because my MMF always sticks to the wrap making a huge mess..I have heard others say that they put crisco on thiers to stop the sticking as well...Good luck!

Oh and you dont have to wait overnight to use it - just until it cools...I make mine the same day.

Shoot I don't wait at all. After you mix it a good bit in the mixer then knead it the rest of the way, its cool enough to use and quite pliable! I found letting it sit and cool more made me just have to nuke it to make it easier on my hands.

I didn't know you were suppose to wait!
I made mine, let it sit for a couple of hours to cool, and then used it! Everything turned out great.
I loved the taste, the texture, and it was so easy to work with!
I'm just made some 10 minutes ago. It's cooling while my cakes are thawing. I plan to use it in a few hours icon_smile.gif

In the past I would wait a few hours, but lately I didn't and it turned out just fine. icon_smile.gif Because as I have observed, the next day when it is rock hard, I still have to pop it in the microwave just to soften it, w/c is the same consistency as if I just made it. either way is fine.. icon_smile.gif
