Tell Me Something I Could Add To My Cake Mix

there's a book called the Cake Mix Doctor...it's really cool because it gives you all kinds of varieties to the basic box mix.
I bought mine 2nd hand off e-bay but you have to be careful because sometimes the used ones sell for more than a new one on amazon!
...maybe you could find it at your local library to test out a few recipes to see if you really want to buy it.
I just bought my Cake Mix Doctor book last week and can't wait to try some recipies. She also has one for cupcakes but I didn't have a chance to look at that one. I think it was $14.95, but with the amount of recipies, it seemed worth my while.... Plus she has helpful hints throughout.
Sour cream! I always thought this sounded disgusting but it makes a big difference to boxed cake. You have to have it in conjunction with flour, sugar and oil....definitely check out the Cake Mix Doctor book.
I use 1 stick of butter instead of oil, whole milk instead of water, a little cocoa powder(if its chocolate) & some pudding - it comes out great!
My mother also said add buttermilk to replace any liquid in the mix (water or regular milk).
Thank you all but where do I get the book from what website or store.

Check you local bookstore for the book. I've seen it at Target I believe too.
