Does anyone know how long BC icing will keep in the freezer? I have leftover bits of different colors & would like to keep them for future use but I'm not sure how long they will stay good for & I would hate to waste it!!

I've never frozen mine, but I'll bump this back up and maybe someone that has can answer your question icon_smile.gif

I have frozen plain white buttercream for about a month with no problems. When I did this it was the Crisco only icing recipe and I used a vacuum sealer. Maybe someone else can give better advice!

I just froze some leftover icing that I had. It was only in the freezer for about 2 weeks. I defrosted it last night for cake class and it did fine. I asked basicly this same question not to long back. It seems that most people feel that if there isn't anything in the icing that has a short shelf life (dairy, etc) then it is ok to keep it around for quit some time in the freezer. Hope that helps a little, I bet some of the more experienced on this site can help you out a lot better than I can.
