I'd like to get a good Cream Cheese frosting recipe. Please share your favorite ones with me. Thanks so much!
I copied this post from the Wilton site alwhile back. It is VERY good!

I got this recipe from someone on the board. I have used this to make roses, carrots & borders. It crusts so that you can smooth it with a paper towel. I'm not sure it would stand up to basketweave. My kids & I love the taste.
Cream Cheese Icing
1 Bar Cream Cheese
½ Stick Butter½ Cup Shortening
1 tsp. clear vanilla
Dash of salt
1 1/2 to 2 Lbs. Powdered Sugar
There were no instructions on the mixing of this icing. I just creamed the cheese and butter together, then added the vanilla and salt, followed by the appropriate amount of sugar. Hope this helps! And it really DOES crust nicely for smoothing with a Viva towel.
Crisseyann that's great, thanks from me, too. My mom and I were just talking today how much we love cc frosting and I would like to do it with chocolate cake for my daughter's birthday but that it probably wouldn't pipe. Awesome!
That sounds like a yummy cream cheese icing I am going to have to give it a try thanks crissyann!
