Check this out!
I got a Mrs. Field's catalog in the mail and saw these cute cakes for sale. They serve 8-10 (chocolate) and 4-6 (white).
HOWEVER>......check out the prices!!!!!!
If you can't make it out, the chocolate one is $84.99 and the white is $79.99!
What insane person would pay that much for such a tiny little cake!??? Any one of us could make these cakes with our eyes closed!
And it says that the chocolate one has white chocolate truffle cream, but it looks all chocolate to me.
wow - this Sam Godfrey must be like....Elvis or something....

Plus shipping, don't forget!
Btw, Mrs. Fields cookies are , not sure why they are so popular....
Hahaha, can someone point out what mistake the food stylist made in the picture of the chocolate cake?
Besides that fact that the label says white chocolate gift wrap, and it's obviously normal chocolate?
This is Sam Godfrey's web page....it is not ready yet but it has an extremely fast moving slideshow of cakes that made me dizzy.

I just wonder how many preservatives are in this 80.00 cake to keep it fresh from baking to shipping. Cute heart cake, but it is a no-brainer for us!!

How about it! He is looking for help, anyone in the Napa area?

That's an excellent point, but nope....
Look closely at the chocolate picture....you'll see it.

Is is that there's no icing on the piece of cake that's on the fork?? Only the filling?
*edited to add: Or that there's a crumb on the plate?
Well, how nice...a moderator felt it necessary to remove the scanned page out of a publicly distributed catalog.
The deal was that the chocolate cake was cut and a piece of it was served on the plate, yet the food stylist had placed a band of the red fondant ribbon down the cut side of the cake...whereas the band should not have been there because it was on the cut piece of cake! LOL
Here's a link, if that's ok...since it's already out there on the web?

But I'm not sure if that's the same picture that sunlover had posted...is it different, or is it just me? lol I know it's the same cake, but....
It looks to be the same picture but is a better image...and I was wrong! In the scanned image, it looked like the chocolate cake was cut on one side...in your link, it's clearly not cut.
Well, on the web, the ribbon is going vertically on the cake, but the slice of cake has a strip of red on it which makes it appear that they cut the cake wacky or the red ribbon is going horizontally on the cake. And what's with the crease on the slice???
I know, I'm being picky, but come on, most CC people could do better and I doubt they have a staff to pretty up their pictures nor charge even half that price!

...
Probably because the catalog is copywrited material.

"..... there can be no posting of scanned pages from books or magazines. Those are strictly copyrighted and CakeCentral can get in huge trouble."
The above is a quote from Jackie!!
