I have been asked to make a wedding cake for a young man that I took Culinary classes with this past semester. He called last night and said he had popped the question and would I please make their cake......YIPPEEE!!
It's not till December and he is going to have his fiance email photos of what she wants. I told him I would do my best to make what they want. So, be warned, I'm sure I will be asking a lot of questions and I will probably make at least one practice.....It's actually scary and exciting at the same time, but it has really boosted my confindence in what I'm doing.
I have only been decorating for about 8 months and my business is starting to pick up. I was thinking for a bit that I was not going to have very good success, but things are really taking off. I already have 8 orders for February and have 2 for this weekend.
I don't mean to be blowing my own horn, but I am just really excited and wanted to share......Thanks for reading and especially thanks to everyone for all the great tips and advice you give so freely to us amateurs.

Congrats Cindy! It means so much when someone trust you to do their wedding cake. I have my first Feb 25! I definately understand being scared and excited at the same time. I hope it gets easier with time.
