I'm always going to book stores looking for new cake decorating books to add to my collection. Majority of the times I find some decent priced books on ebay. I just love to look at new cake pictures for all occasions.

Has anyone ever wished there was a monthly cake decorating magazine that we could buy from the newstand. Magazines such as bridal, sports, entertainment, crafts, etc are always on the newstand. I can never find one specifically for cake decorating. I know that American Cake Decorating publishes magazines but there are only 6 issues.

I need a monthly magazine. I guess I'm just too addicted to cake decorating.

What do you think?

Sounds good to me! It's great to go online and experience the back and forth, but there is something enjoyable about picking up a book or magazine and leafing through it.

I love looking at pics too especially when they come with directions! You may want to subscribe to both MBN (or Mailbox News) and ACD.

I wish the newstands would carry them too but there just isn't enough of us. When I'm out shopping, I usually flip through the bride mags to look at the wedding cakes. Gotta get my fix icon_confused.gificon_lol.gif

There is a British cake magazine that comes out a few times a year (I think). It's all about fondant and pulled sugar. I've seen it at Barnes and Noble. Makes sense that it's a British magazine as they have been using fondant and make a lot of the fondant tools, etc., for years now.

I know Australia has a monthly magazine that they purchase. At least I think they still do it. I have a previous Australian cake decorating magazine. I just wish we had a monthly magazine in the US.

I wish there was a cake decorating mag just for cake bakers, without a ton of ads and loads of helpful hints. AHHH, wishful thinking.

So in the meantime, I get every book that I can and look through the pictures over and over. One day I'll get the nerve and try one of the hard ones. icon_lol.gif

I gree with all of you. I am constantly looking for mags. I mean, I haven't even been able to get my hands on the 2005 Wilton yearboo yet. I am out in the boonies here. But at least I have here. Otherwise, I think that I would be ready for the nut hatch!!

I'm with you! Lisa ~ I look through the bride's magazines too! My husband couldn't understand what I was doing bringing home one the last time I saw a cake I liked in one! I'm addicted to cake books as much as i'm addicted to this site! I have more books than most libraries and i'm not even close to getting all of them I want!
