Has anybody used the Wilton carousel? I have a two-tier (10" and 6") birthday cake to make. It comes with two plates and four connector horse pillars. Directions aren' that great, but I'm assuming that I have to put dowels in the bottom layer before I put the first plate on top. Can anybody confirm? Thanks muchly, my friends!

Yes, you do need to put dowels in the bottom cake. I made one of these a couple of months again and it's a very cute cake.
