Birthday Cake Ideas For The Owner Of A Travel Agency???
Decorating By susgene Updated 19 Jan 2006 , 6:55pm by susgene
I was just asked to make a birthday cake for the owner of a travel agency... for Monday...
Anyone have great (but very quick) idea? I don't have much time for this cake but I'm one of those that finds it hard to say no to requests from friends.
Thanks!
Do you know their age?
How a FBT of an airplane flying over the "happy birthday"
on the planes tail end you can write another bday flies by(or use this instead of Happy bday for the pane to fly over)
Sorry, that is the only thing that comes to mind.
A plane, a cruise ship, a beach...maybe a replica of a tourist attraction, ie BIg Ben, the pyramids etc...

could use those images AND make it look like each is a separate brochure for the place/attraction and do flat on a sheet cake.
or
an intinerary for a Happy Birthday from "life's happy journeys travel agency"
or
(if up to) a replica of a travel bag w/ her agency logo on it.
or something like "Bon Voyage to another year!"
how about a suitcase cake with chocolate bc with travel labels? everything can be bc. (except maybe the suitcase handle and straps.. you might want to do fondant)
What about a sheet cake with the contenents on them - then maybe make little thumb tacks to the places the agency offers or places the agent might have gone. with a little pile of thumb tack on the side and a note that says "where will life take you this year?"
You could make a half globe using a bowl or wonder pan...that might be fun...just a thought.
hope you come up with something GREAT and post it!
Wow! Such great responses! Thank you very much! I'll post whatever I end up doing. I love the suitcase and the globe and the tourist attactions and the plane and the ship.... I want to do them all!
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!
