I am so dissapointed in this cake! It is nothing like how cute I had pictured it in my mind. The icing was too soft, the colors were being weird and I think the black is going to seep into the faces overnight. Grrrr. I mean it is only little girls who aren't really going to care, but when you have a super image in your head and you get this, it is frustrating. Not to mention it made me remember how much I love fondant for the smoothness and the ability to remove mistakes easily(edited to say: as opposed to this buttercream nightmare that I couldn't get to smooth properly because it just wasnt crusting.). Grrrrrrrr....... Just thought I would vent!

fingers crossed that it doesnt bleed overnight, cause it's soo cute!!

Thanks, after I vented about it, sat down, took a breather (read as got on cakecentral), and look at it again, it isn't so bad. Do you ever just have this image in your mind, but it won't translate into cake for you? That was this cake. I am sure everyone will like it, I just wanted to "wow" them, ya know?!?

I agree, sometimes it's hard to bring to life the pictures in your head ( my pillow cake for eg. !! ) but your cake still looks really good to me

all the time, i picture things in my head and it doesnt turn out quite like i wanted.

if you put the cake in the fridge it wont bleed as bad.

the cake is cute buy the way.
