I was given some money recently and have made a list of items I want to purchase. One of them was Chocolate Fondant. However, I can decide with one to order.

Any suggestions.

I think I am happy with MMF, but can't get it that dark chocolate color that I see these brands do.

Should I also try the white too? Does it taste as good as MMF or can you add flavors to it. Does it color well?

I use satin ice because thats what is available locally. I've never tried the pettinice. I do know that if you contact satin fine foods they will send you a sample then you can taste it and see if its for you.

If i'm making chocolate fondant i use the recipe from the cake bible, it works well and comes out very dark in color.

Thanks for the info, I will contact them for a sample. I guess I need to find a copy of the Cake bible so I can get the recipe.

Personally I love the fondant (especially the chocolate) from www.creativecutters.com

It's really tasty, and can tolerate some fridge time!
