Hey everyone,

I'm just curious how everyone stores their cakes after they are decorated. I finished decorating my cake tonight for a party tomorrow but now I don't know what to do with it. I don't have anything big enough to fit over it and I'm not sure if it's a good idea to just leave it sitting out. How do I protect it?

Thanks!

i often just place a clean towel over the cake if its not covered with fragile decorations. it mostly makes me feel better about keeping any little bugs and dust off of the cake. i always leave mine on the counter, because i don't use fillings that require refrigeration.

You could use a big box you know the kind you would pack stuff in when your moving if your worried about something getting on it. Or one of those plastic containers.HTH icon_smile.gif

I've used a moving box. They have to be covered in my house or little fingers will end up in the icing icon_surprised.gif

If I have to leave one sitting out, I buy the commercial sized box of saran wrap and drape some of that over the cake.

you can get a cake taker. they are pretty inexpensive at places like walmart or target.
