Hello fellow Cookie club addicts,

I must apologise for posting the topic late. I forgot that it was the end of February.

The theme for this month is your interpretation of March Madness. So go nuts, lets see what you come up with.

Just a few things to remember:
Just give us a brief explanation of your interpretation of the topic.
All decorating must be done in edible materials that means no play doh etc.
All cookie pics must be original ones made especially for the month's theme. Therefore if you already have a pic in your gallery and it fits the theme please do not submit it. The purpose of the cookie club was to get new ideas flowing.
Above all have loads of fun baking.

There has been a request to be allowed to post the cookies to the gallery while the theme is still active. As a trial, this month you may go ahead and post the cookies to the gallery but please remember your pic MUST be posted to the thread as well. Do NOT post a link to the pic, put the actual picture in the thread. If you are having problems please ask feel free to message me and I will help you out.

Happy Cookie Baking

For our Canadian friends who don't follow college basketball March Madness is the final annual BB tournaments. Usually on CBS which you would get in your american pkg. on Bell expressview or Rogers depending upon your tv connection.
Americans go crazy for it. It is not the NBA but college b.ball. It happens the entire month of March. Thankfully for those of us who love hockey the Stanley Cup playoffs are not far behind.
So anything basketball related I would think would cover it. Your fav college team if you know of one down here etc...
Sorry for interjecting hockey into that since I am not a cookie club member at this time. I just thought I would explain March Madness as it used to drive me crazy when I moved down here that everytime I turned the tv on in March there was more BBall and I thought I should let people know who are not familiar with your college sports addictions.
Regards,
Claire

I sent a PM to both Cake_Princess and bonnie bakes for clarification of the theme... I'm not sure if it's SUPPOSED to be only basketball...
Glad you liked him. icon_smile.gif

What about widening your interpretation of March Madness to include college life? After all, all of those talented young men are college students. Or activities that take place while watching March Madness? College Logos... Come on ladies, think outside the box! This is a fantastic challenge. Give it a chance! thumbs_up.gif

Well then, all you sports-haters... Let us see your cookie face when you think about basketball icon_sad.gif ; a round cookie with a 'no sports allowed' message; picketers carrying "I hate sports" signs; sports widows chasing the cheerleaders...

All you have to do to join is read the first post and bake away! Happy to have you!

The rules are recopied into the first post of each month's cookie club. Just look back to page 1 in this thread (By Cake_Princess right at the top.)

OK so a few of you are asking for clarification on the theme. Well it does not have To be about college ball. Part of the challenge is to put your spin on what March Madness means to you and let us know why you chose the design you did.

I hope this clarifies things.
