Hi evreyone ,
I will be entering in the 2006 CA State Fair Cake show in August and I am considering of making Pumpkin Cake with White Chocolate/Cream Cheese Buttercream filling... since August is only one month away from Fall (Fall is my theme)..Last year I did Dark Chocolate Cake with Bourbon Whiskey filled with Ganache w/ Grand Marnier and Mint Flavored Fondant..icon_smile.gif Can you think of any other filling that would go well with Pumpkin ? I only have seven months to prepare !! icon_smile.gif
thank you.. icon_smile.gif

It's not too early. I have a dear friend who is already planning Thanksgiving!

Anyway, I LOVE the white chocolate/cream cheese idea--that would surely complement the pumpkin. I have a friend who swears by a pumpkin/banana combo--not nearly what you would expect it to be. I think something like a german chocolate filling (you know, with the coconut and nuts) would work too.

I hope you win! That would be so cool!

What about a caramel/praline type filling with the white chocolate icing?
