I have a brochure from Cheryl & Co. and Mrs. Fields and they sell decorated sugar cookies. They say it is a buttercream icing, but I was wondering, what recipe it would be? Do you think it is the 1/2 shortening and 1/2 butter recipe? Wouldn't that be too creamy/soft to deliver without getting ruined?

Cheryl's cookies are made here in Ohio.....(my sister worked at one of her first stores years ago!) Anyways....I am not sure what it is made with, but I can tell you it tastes like true buttercream (made with butter). They are VERY good cookies.

I think the Mrs. Field's cookies that are here in Houston(the one in my area) uses a buttercream without butter. One of my daughter's friends ordered a cookie cake from there and the icing did not taste buttery at all. It was harder and very sugary.

I have not heard of Cheryl's...I don't think we have one here. icon_smile.gif

Maybe someone else will know about Mrs. Field's. icon_razz.gif
