Has anyone ever taken the 2 day gumpaste class that Nick Lodge puts on??? He's coming to Dallas in April and I'm trying to figure out if I want to spend the $250 for it!?!
I would love the opportunity but just hate spending the money on it! Is it worth it????

I haven't done his course, but I have done a few classes with another gumpaste "master".... I would say that it was worth the extreme cost b/c once you know how to really work with gumpaste, you can make ANY flower - even the ones you didnt cover in the class. Seeing it done and doing it yourself under the supervision of a pro is definately better experience than learing from books.

And now, all I need to make a flower I never attempted before are the cutters and a picture of the flower and they come out perfect.

I was forunate enough to be able to go to his open house at the his school/ shop in Atlanta. He is amazing, he is very interactive with anyone who had questions. Seems to be a brillant mind in cake decorating. Saw some of the amazing things he's made on display. WOW. I am very new to cake decorating and I am hoping to take some of his classes this year after a little more practice. But I figure why not learn from one of the best.
