Would 2 cake mixes fill an 11x15 sheet?
If so, in order to make a marbled cake should I make a white and chocolate, I think that would be too much chocolate.
Or should I make 2 white and add cocoa to about 1/4 of the total mixture to do this?

I believe Duncan Hines makes a really good marble cake mix. It will take 2 boxes of mix to have enough batter to fill an 11 x 15-inch pan.

make all white cake mix. Reserve part of the mix and add cocoa to it. Dollop the chocolate part on to the white part and swirl.. no need to buy and extra type of mix... Hope this helps

Hello, tia! this is what I do:
Firstly make a mixture of normal cake flavor batter vanilla or white put aside the third part of the mixture and add 2 spoonfuls of cocoa powder and mix it well, in a mold put half of the mixture of vanilla or white batter and put some scatter spoonfuls of chocolate batter on the white one.... add remaining half of batter... add the leftover chocolate flavor batter... and with a espatula inserted in the mixture make movements from a side towards the other. Then, bake at desire temperature.
Hope this can help. Good Luck!! thumbs_up.gif
Bye!
Sory.

They sell marbled cake mix. If you can't find the marbled, use the yellow and chocolate cake mixes.

I use three boxes in the 11x15 pan...for a good height.

I use three mixes or recipes for this size too. If you want, just use yellow cake mixes or white but normally a marble cake is made using yellow. Reserve 1 cup of batter for each cake mix you use and to each cup add 1/4 cup cocoa powder.

Does anyone ever get requests for different marbling flavors? I was thinking of white marbled with strawberry, or maybe lemon. Something different I guess, just a thought.
