I just baked a cake today in a springform pan. I have made bundt cakes and stuff in these pans before. I made a regular cake in one today, is there a reason for it not rising?

icon_smile.gif Did you say you've made Bundt CAke in a Springform pan ? I can't quiet picture that.
Is the center of the cake done ? the one that didn't rise ? I only used my springform for Cheesecakes and giant sugar cookies. Have you always used this recipe before but with the reg type of cake pan ?

I can only think of two things, too low temp. or not enough baking powder.

How about baking your cake in the reg cake pan, and see if that happens again ? icon_smile.gif

I bake all of my cakes and cheesecakes in the springform pans. I've never had a problem with them not rising. Maybe it was just a fluke...I would try it again maybe adjusting the temp & see what happens.
