What Does Dh And Dd Etc. Stand For?

I've seen people post these initials DH and DD but I can't for the life of me figure out what they mean. icon_smile.gif

Dear Husband and Dear Daughter. Just a short way of typing it.

Ok Thank you... I figured out the "daughter" and "husband" part but never could figure out what that extra "D" stood for! lol

of course on other days that d could be:
dim-witted
donder-head
dreadful

all depends upon what they said of the cake and if they helped! icon_wink.gif

LOL.....When I was little, my "D" dad used to call our dog....DD (short for Dumb Dog). I remember getting a lickin' for calling him a DD (dumb dad!). Good thing he still loves me!!
