Hi, all!

What is an icing image? I was looking at boween's cakes (BEAUTIFUL!) and a few had icing images. What are they and are they difficult to do?

Thanks,
Julie

When I started three years ago I bought a printer at staples a Cannon i560. it was $99. Then I went online and searched for the inks and head cleaners. I only use the Lucks brand of icing sheets and ink. The lucks sheets are soooo easy to remove from the backing!

Hope this helps, this has been a great asset for my business! Money well spent!

boween, are the frosting sheets as easy to work use as rice paper. I have gotten the rice paper images from a local cake store (very expensive, $15 per 1/4 sheet page) and they are very flexible and do not crack or break. They are also easy to peel off of the paper and turn out very clear. How are the frosting sheets to work with? Where do you order your sheets and edible ink from? Your cakes are so BEAUTIFUL by the way!!!! I would love to decorate like that, what creativity!

I use kopykake frosting sheets and find that they are very easy to work with. I think my edible printer is one of the best investments I have ever made with decorating supplies. It is easy to use and just makes life so much easier! icon_wink.gif

I use Kopykake too and find them to be about the same as the Lucks brand...both great thumbs_up.gif I use a two cartridge printer because I print very few images but I think a four cartridge is the best deal.

I've used KopyCake too, but I found them to be a little thick/rough and don't dissolve in the icing like others I've seen.

It's my lpersonal opinion.

I've never had that problem. What brand do you use on your cakes now?
